The Scottish Isle

I visited the Scottish Isle today. This place is put together by Minnie Blanco and co-owned and co-managed by Boone Blanco. Judging by Minnie’s profile she has designed several other sims, all part of the Soul2Soulsl regions, and all of which offer rentals. The island is inspired by the western part of Scotland’s coast and the Isle of Skye. There is a calm and ease about this place. Walking up the hill on a country road, the ocean on one side and mountains on the other, there is a sense of having been transported to a coastline countryside for sure. Part of this of course has to do with the design. Grass, rocks, sand, roads and other items used here are of high quality and have been placed with great care and precision in order to establish a Scottish Highland ambience. Whereas at other places a designer may have used two or three types of grass to provide a feeling of nature, this creator has used at least ten or more grass types, carefully positioning them and integrating them into the landscape with much attention to detail. Another aspect that contributes to a sense of cohesion on this island are the prop avatars that are placed throughout. I didn’t use to like these, honestly, but they work really well on the Scottish Isle. Placed in pairs or groups throughout, they make the island feel populated and more alive. Head over and visit this  beautiful place if you haven’t already, you wont be disappointed.
